Howard Street Hauntings and Other Stores

Philip Howard, eighth generation descendant of William Howard, Blackbeard's quartermaster and colonial owner of Ocracoke Island delights in sharing local legends and history.  He is the 2021 recipient of the Ocracoke Preservation Cultural Heritage Award.  

Philip lives in his grandparents restored 1865 cottage just off Howard Street on Ocracoke Island.
